'70 STRAT are a recreation of the pickups that were used in the 70s and 71s. These pickups have a very distinct, glassy sound. The low end is full and selective. The midrange is balanced and does not stand out over the rest. The ALNICO 5 magnets used are thinner than standard and do not have a bevel. Thanks to this, the separation of the strings is very clear. The pickups are wound with 42 AWG Plain enamel wire on gray bobbins.
 
As in the originals, a steel baseplate is mounted in the bridge position. This protects against external interference and shapes the magnetic fields so the sound is full and rounded but without losing high frequencies.
 
This set has a waxed outer layer of coils, such as all vintage Fender pickups.
The center of the coil is not waxed to obtain pure, crystal sound and high dynamics.
