BROADCASTER PLUS is a continuation of the ’50 BROADCASTER pickups. A few changes that are introduced causes you to transfer your Tele to a higher, more aggressive level. This set of pickups, like the '50 BROADCASTER, is handwound with 43AWG Plain enamel wire on Alnico 5 magnets. The biggest difference is that the coils are wound much warmer than the original and attack the level of distortion of the tube amplifier much earlier than their predecessors. They will easily show capabilities even in low GAIN settings. The sound of these pickups can be described as an sometimes found "Keith sound", which is recognised by some guitarists as the quintessence of Telecaster. Jimi’s Page achievements from the early years, when he used Telecaster in Yardbirds and the beginning of LZ which perfectly reflect this sound.
A rough middle range, sharp upper sounds, beautifully charging riffs, filled with a round and lower controlled range.
BROADCASTER PLUS together with Fuzz or BigMuff will perfectly reproduce the sound from the beginning of the ‘50s.
Both pickups are fully potted in wax.
