'50 BROADCASTER are pickups that represent Fender's productions from 1950-52. They are recreating the first pickups from that period. Fender designed the revolutionary Broadcaster guitar, which, despite changing the name in the early production period and thanks to its characteristic sound, the cult guitar became and is present in the music productions that we listen to today.
This is above all a unique construction of the bridge and neck pickups.
Both pickups are built on Alnico 5 magnets with a light bevel and are handmade with 43AWG Plain enamel wire, which is consistent for the specification from that period. As in the original, the bridge baseplate is mounted zinc steel baseplate and the neck pickup is covered with a brass cover as it was in the original ( if you prefer a silver nickel cover for the neck pickup, please contact me ).
Thanks to the external waxing technique, which it uses for single coils, the sound is full, dynamic and sensitive to impact on the strings in the entire frequency range.
The unique sound is obtained thanks to greater output power and can give what you need have for a wide range of music genres. From Blues, through Funk to strong, growling Rock riffs.
This set has a waxed outer layer of coils, such as all vintage Fender pickups. The center of the coil is not waxed to obtain pure, crystal sound.
The high end and full midrange sound combined with my partial waxing method provides high dynamics throughout the frequency range.
If you prefer completely waxed coils add "Wax Potted" to the "Add a Note" at checkout.
